The Healthiest & Yummiest Chocolate Bark Ever!


This weekend I made this delicious and actually healthy chocolate bark for a Father’s Day BBQ, courtesy of the good people over at the Free People Blog, and needless to say there is none left!

This chocolate bark gets an extra punch of nutrients not just from the dark chocolate, but also coconut oil, maca root powder and dried cranberries, golden berries and dried rose petals. Making this treat rich in vitamin B vitamins, C, and E. It provides plenty of calcium, zinc, iron, magnesium, phosphorous and amino acids.

3 cups high quality semisweet or dark chocolate chips
2 tablespoons coconut oil
4 teaspoons maca
1/2 cup dried cranberries
1/4 dried rose petals
1/4 cup dried golden berries
pinch of sea salt

If using chocolate bars, break chocolate into smaller pieces. Heat chocolate and coconut oil in double broiler stirring occasionally. Once melted, remove from heat and stir in maca. Pour over a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper and spread until even. Quickly sprinkle the berries, rose petals and a bit of sea salt on top and pop in the freezer for 10-15 minutes. Once hardened break apart and enjoy!
