Class Descriptions

Class types approximately from most gentle to most difficult:

gentle: Softer, slower-paced practice; great for aging anatomy and anyone wanting a gentle, accessible approach. Beginners welcome.
restorative: Props support the body fully in passive poses for a deeply restful and rejuvenating practice. All are welcome.
basics: Slower, informative practice great for beginners and all seeking a more detailed practice.
all levels:
Open to all levels, alignment-based vinyasa. Variations offered for all; beginners welcome.
all levels + restore: A hybrid class that blends 45 minutes of all levels alignment based flow and 30 minutes of restorative yoga. All are welcome.
all levels + meditation : Includes a quick introduction, 45-minute open levels asana flow, breath work, meditation and group discussion.
advanced: Students and teacher practice together in our most playful, advanced class. Not for beginners. Local teachers only $12 cash, any studio, any style.

Specialized classes for specific populations:

yoga for parkinsons: an adaptive yoga class for those living with Parkinson’s, taught by donation. Caretakers also welcome.
connected warriors: free trauma conscious yoga classes for veterans, active service members, their families and/or support groups, and also first responders (police, fire and EMT).

New to Yoga? Don’t worry! Here are some helpful tips for your first visit:

  • Please arrive to the studio 10-15 minutes early so that we can get you entered into our system and show you around the studio.
  • Please inform the teacher that this is your first yoga class and let them know about any injuries or concerns you may have. Our teachers are trained to work with students of all abilities and your positive experience is their top priority!
  • No yoga mat, no problem! You may rent one from our studio for $2 cash or $3 credit card
  • And most importantly, have fun!
