Maha 50-hour Yoga Immersion: Summer 2017 WEEKDAY format
This training is designed for teachers and serious students who want to deepen their studies of yoga by exploring physiology, biomechanics and philosophy, and how they relate to asana practice via Anusara’s alignment principles. Learn how to align your physical body to be healthier and more vibrant, and how to train your eye to notice your students’ alignment in a more meaningful way. The course discusses common yoga injuries and how to avoid them, as well as the safe practice of inversions using a sound science of progressions. Explore how to apply alignment to address specific therapeutic needs with yoga.
We will delve into all asanas from the Anusara Level 1 Syllabus, and many from Level 2. This course is a prerequisite for Maha’s Teacher Training, which runs for four additional weeks following the Immersion. You can take it as the first step towards getting certified to teach, or on its own as a way to deepen your own practice.
