200 Hr Summer Teacher Training Now Online

This weekend our Yoga Teacher Trainees will teach their final practicum classes, but instead of being in the studio, they’re teaching them virtually, online with Zoom!

What initially seemed like a difficult burden to me (transitioning the studio and its programming online) has actually been amazing.  I led last weekend’s training on Zoom, and IT WENT SO WELL. I was blown away by how effective it was.

I even prepared new, bonus content for the training: Best Practices for Teaching Online.

Adapt or perish, you know?

Amor fati is a Latin phrase that means ‘love your fate’ and I’ve been contemplating it heavily this past month (after my bicycle accident a year and a half ago, it continues to be so relevant). To me, it essentially means that unless I step into what the world is offering, AS IF I HAD CHOSEN IT, I will suffer greatly. I will have no leverage and I will be stuck in conflict mode.

But when I examine the unexpected and say (maybe through a grimace or a chuckle or heck even both), ‘well I wouldn’t have expected THAT to happen, but ok here we go, what’s next?’ Doors open. New realities are born.

As in: I generate new content for a training based on my lived experience of teaching online.

As if I had chosen it.

Finding grace throughout life’s challenges is about asking the next, best question: ‘ok, given THIS, what NEXT?’ It’s that old stand up improv trick of replying to any input with ‘yes, and…..’

It’s radical affirmation, and it is our way forward. It’s what we need, now more than ever.

So I are excited to announce that we are keeping our summer weekday format Yoga Immersion and 200-Hour Teacher Training on the schedule and will be offering it virtually. I am confident that this adaptation will give us the opportunity to open up to even more greatness.

And as always, you can always join just for the Immersion. The Immersion will change your life. It’s a five day investment I know you’ll love.
